These are my designs of Irish dance dresses that I drew as part of my alternative concept for the Madame Butterfly opera. It's set in 1969 Ireland around the time of 'the troubles' and riots. An Irish catholic girl (Madame Butterfly) and an English protestant army boy (Pinkerton) fall in love and get separated.
